Michael J. Maslanka, MAI, a
real estate analyst since August 1977, joined USRC in 1993 after most recently
having several years as a manager with the Chicago Real Estate Advisory Services
practice of Coopers & Lybrand.
Mr. Maslanka has valued
several billion dollars of real estate property across a broad spectrum of
property types and assignments, including hotels/resorts, special purpose
properties (e.g., theater, amusement center, landfill, aquaculture, cheese
plant, health & fitness clubs, and railroad property), business parks
(including a complex participating leasehold mortgage valuation), garden
apartment complexes and historic building multi-family conversions, regional
malls, vacant land, and office buildings and major industrial properties.
Mike has served as an expert
witness for real estate-related cases on several occasions, and has also
performed a portfolio analysis, statistical modeling, and consulting services
(analysis of major homebuilder; consultant to major hospital on acquisition,
disposition, and development of health care property;
assignments relative to highest and best use, zoning change impact, and
so forth).
